You know whats the most overrated number? Pi. I mean yeah, it's really useful, but why are we ignoring numbers like 1.618 (Golden Ratio), e, sqrt(2), and things like that! Now don't get me wrong. Pi deserves some attention. It shows up in circles, waves, probability, and a lot of physics. But Pi Day gets celebrated every year, people memorize thousands of digits of Pi, and there are even Pi-themed songs. Meanwhile, other numbers are sitting in the corner being ignored. Take the Golden Ratio (about 1.618). It appears in geometry, art, and nature. Or e (about 2.718), which is one of the most important numbers in mathematics and appears everywhere from population growth to finance.
